OK let me start by saying this cover got me hooked right off the bat. The image and the captions well lets just say I knew I was in for a good read. When HGTV said take a tour of the prettiest spaces they meant it. Fresh ideas: check.

HGTV knew the cover is a showstopper so they dedicated a whole page to shopping the cover. I’m pretty sure they do this often because readers will have questions about where to shop the look.

There was also something very interesting about being able to use baking powder instead of baking soda in a cake. They pretty much give us the ratio we need to use and guaranteed we could eat our cake when doing that even though it might change the texture or taste slightly.

Hgtv also introduced us to a very nice way to add color into homes. They showed us how and what effect a shade of purple, green, yellow and blue can add to a room. I found it very interesting since I am more of a neutral lady when it comes to paint on walls. Color looks great and hopefully I use it more often thanks to this article.

Loved the high/low list pages. How you can get a cheaper version of something trendy and still score big with a smaller price tag.

My all time favorite section had to be the flower shop which featured many items either shaped like the flower mentioned or had an illustration of the flower on it. The flowers featured were daisies, tulips, roses and lili of the valley. My jaw dropped immediately and thanks to this magazine I would love to recreate some of these items for this spring at a lower cost. The daisy page featured an outdoor mat with daisies printed on it, a kitchen towel with three daisies on it, a daisy side table, a tile with a daisy, a set of four glasses with daisies, daisy knobs, a daisy plate, a retro daisy jar and a gorgeous daisy pillow. The tulip section featured a pillow, throw, tile, lamp, tray, pendant, vase, art print, rug and salt and pepper shaker. Roses came in form of an ottoman, dog toy, pet bowl, tray, knob, sheet set, print, rug and lamp shade. And las but definitely not least the lili of the valley section featured a teapot, art print, acrylic tray, table runner, wallpaper, pillow, napkins, a chair and a wine glass.

There was 4 pages of great green choices for the home that were all made from recycled materials. Thought it was fresh and very interesting.

Another favorite of mine was the houseplant handbook that featured various gorgeous plants and actually tells you how much sunlight and water is needed for each. From small to large it offers a variety of different plants to choose from and it even includes cute pots that you can purchase for your new plant. HGTV also offers many tips on how to keep your plant alive making readers more prepared for a new plant.

And then the piece of resistant what readers are there for: the Philadelphia home featured on the cover that we finally get to see. We get a look at the gorgeous home from the living room to the den as promised beauty is present in every corner of that home.

So sorry for saying this again but another favorite was this extremely fun house that is fancy without being so serious and just exudes the great personality and taste of the homeowner. The kitchen island features three huge disco balls above it and they literally are there for people to dance and have fun. The hidden fridge has brass snake pulls and the kids playrooom is beyond amazing. Every room has fun and glamour.

We also get to read how a California couple that inherited a French chateau fixed it into a cozy dream.

And if that was not enough they show us a cool coastal blue New Jersey kitchen that shows blue on blue is not boring at all.

Hgtv also shares a lemon pound cake recipe and some great looking curb appeal show stoppers.

You will definitely want a lush layered garden just like the one featured in this March/ April issue.

HGTV star Lauren Makk also shows us where to stay, eat, see and where to shop in her beloved city of Nashville.

Last but not least if you are into the zodiac signs HGTV offers finding salad servers depending on your specific zodiac sign. Hey why not something cool to read and to actually consider.

Highly recommend reading this HGTV March/April issue.

You will get inspired, entertained and you will learn a thing or two. Might also get you excited for spring and all its beauty.

Till next post. Thanks for reading and see you next time.
